Located in Tanzania, Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro is the largest free standing mountain in the world with an elevation of 19,341 feet above sea level.
I will be taking the the 7 day Shira route (7Bg) with The African Walking Company as our guide. Overall the route involves the western approach across the Shira Plateau, the traverse below the southern ice fields, summit attempt from Barafu and descent via Mweka.
